Would you sell Declan Rice for 90 million if it would be reinvested in the team?
That´s alot of money and could fund a replacement, another CM and a right back...

What do you think?

no, we need to stop being a selling club, we sold ferdinand/cole/lampard/johnson/carrick and others, had we gone out and boiught players to go with these youngsters who knows where we could have got, we now have our best team for years and if we add a new quality left back, a quality central midfielder and another quality striker in case haller is suspended(wont say the I word) we will challenge for the top 4, try and buy another rice, these players will cost 80 million, rice is the future of england in his position so why sell him if we have ambition.

Re: Would you sell Declan Rice for 90 million if it would be reinvested in the team?
We should definitely hold onto him as long as we possibly can. There are two things that will help to prolong his time with us: the first is success, obviously. I genuinely think we have a chance of breaking into the top 6 this season - you can be sure that at least one of Man U, Arsenal and Chelsea will fuck up. The other thing we can do is make him vice-captain and tell him the armband is his when Noble retires. It would be good to see him given that armband every time Noble is subbed or rested, which is going to be a more frequent occurrence.

Let's keep talking about Rice - it's entertaining to see vexed embarrass himself so predictably time after time.

It doesnt matter IF you would sell for £90m because the Directors WILL sell if anyone offered £90m and no it wouldn't be invested back into the team. The net spend will ALWAYS be £25-30m

Nope, £90m gurantees nothing. Ask Fulham supporters.

No thank you...

Build the club around Fredericks, Diop, Rice, Fornals, Lanzini, Anderson and Haller for the next 4-5 years

We will make enough from TV rights and should be able to invest anyway realistically

90m is fair. Or 80m + Vexed going with him.

Re: Would you sell Declan Rice for 90 million if it would be reinvested in the team?
No.
Because I enjoy watching him play for MY club.

I Saw him make two goals in slightly less than ten minutes at Wolves in a PL2 game in what turned about to be his last season at that level.
He nit two Magnificent diagonal cross field balls from nothing and turned 1-0 down into a 2-1 win.
We’re raving about his ability to sit and defend in front of a back four but I think he’s got much more than that.
Keep him I say, and watch him develop.

No, I said I'd take that. I'd still capitalise on the wave of undeserved hype around this kid of questionable character.

The owners will sell when they both need new rollers and Jack needs a new player for his womens team

More than a grain of truth in that, Ron.

If THAT is the real question then Barty really struggles to express himself clearly.

The real question is: is he Basmati or Uncle Ben's?

Re: Would you sell Declan Rice for 90 million if it would be reinvested in the team?
My answer to this question is NO.

My reason for that answer is that any club so BARKING MAD to offer that sort of money for Rice could surely be persuaded to depart with even more.

I like Rice in our midfield, but he is 'West Ham good', not 'title contender good'.

Re: Would you sell Declan Rice for 90 million if it would be reinvested in the team?
The question can't be answered unless we know if it would all be reinvested. Lineker made a good point after Leicester sold Maguire and didn't replace him saying the 90 mil in the bank is of no use to Leicester fans. Generally speaking though I would sell any defensive player for 90 mil, but then again the game has changed now. You would also need a crystal ball as we don't know how much Rice is going to improve.

But, Vexed, by your own admission he's worth a little under 45 million.

With every day that passes Declan Rice mugs off Vexed again and again and again.
